PhotoFacial A Light and Heat Energy (LHE) Photofacial is not a laser or UV light; its generally painless and requires no downtime. Photo Facial treatments are used for acne, hair reduction and to improve the appearance of sun damaged skin, age/sun spots, rosacea and broken capillaries. The light energy stimulates the production of collagen. Thus as this new collagen forms, there is a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles as well as improvement in skin discolorations and mild acne scarring. The skin becomes smoother and more even in tone. You'll leave with an instant glow after your first treatment, and a series will help address longer term skin issues such as sun spots, wrinkles, large pores, lack of tone and pigmentation - all the things that make your skin look aged. The treatments are 3 – 4 weeks apart. To maintain the results, followup treatments may be given once a year.
Flashes of Light and Heat Energy (LHE) penetrate deep into the skin to promote a natural healing response that clears acne and the signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles, and vascular and pigmented lesions. Micro-phototherapy is used for conditions like acne, rosacea and anti-aging skin rejuvenation. It uses gentle levels of light and heat energy to;
break up excess pigmentation (pink and brown spots)
make pores appear smaller
oxygenates skin to prevent acne, reduce inflammation and fade acne scars.
Acne microphototherapy is used twice in one treatment. Once before extractions to soften the impaction, and after extractions to calm skin, minimize inflammation and kill bacteria helping prevent further spread of acne bacteria. For optimal results, a series of 3 – 10 treatments are usually required.
